Pneumonia in My Child

My 1 yr.old son was diagnosed tonight with pneumonia.They are unsure if it's viral or bacterial.I'm wondering if there is any need for concern on my part because of my bicuspid valve(infection?).

There shouldn't be, at least nothing has been linked to it and valve infections. Hope they get on top of it soon. Pneumonia sucks.

One of our boys came down with viral pneumonia at 7 months of age. He was hospitalized but was released after only a few days.
I don't think there's any risk involved for you; it probably is a viral strain. Good luck, and I hope he starts feeling better quickly.
