About 3 weeks post op (MV replacement), I began to have terrible pain in my back, anytime I would Breathe. My doctor listened to my chest and said I likely was expirencing pleuresy rub and prescribed Celebrex, EKG and a chest X ray. The X ray did show some fluid. 7 days later, the pain is gone, but I now feel a strange sensation in my stomoch when I Take a deep breath, like a gurgling, but its not congestion. I got another X ray on saturday and am seeing my Doc today. Has anyone gone through this?, can it clear up on it's own? I hate to think I may have to get it drained.

Been through it many times. Yes it can clear up on it's own, but usually it needs some help. Drainage is last resort, but sometimes very necessary.

What type of help would it need to clear up? Medication or is there some other therapy? thanks for your reply
