please help get a National CHD Bill passed

Once again, we are asking for your help in yet another attempt to
have CHD
Awareness Week proclaimed on a national level.

Thanks to Lyn Wyatt, a Bill has been introduced into the House of
Representatives to have February 7-14 proclaimed as National CHD
Awareness
Week. The sponsors of the bill are Rep. Robert Andrews (NJ) and Rep.
Vito
Fossella (NY).

Although the Bill is currently still in committee and has not been
put up for a
vote by the full House yet, we have been advised that now would be a
good time
for people to start writing to their Representative to ask for their
support.

Please help to get this passed by writing to your Representative
asking for
their support! More information, a sample letter, and a link to find
your
Rep.'s email information is on: http://tchin.org/aware/letter.htm

Feel free to pass the link along to friends, relatives and
neighbors, and other
online support groups!

If the Resolution passes in the House, it will then go to the
Senate, so we
will have to repeat the email and phone calls to our Senators at
that time. If
it passes both the House and the Senate, it then goes to the
President for
signature and will become PERMANENT!

He was a Heart Surgeon before entering national politics.

Thanks Al, One of the Mom's I know from Tenn, wrote to Sen Frist and she will have her friends and family do so also
IF anyone here hasn't contacted your Congressman, please do so hopefully this will not only be benificial to all of you w/ Congenital heart defects, but your children or Grandbabies, if your CHD is one of the ones that seems to run in families (like BAV, ect) thanks again, and if anyone has heard back from their Congressman , could you please let me know, we are trying to keep tract of which states are supporting and who we need to contact again, thanks alot Lyn www.caringbridge.org/nj/justinw
