Saturday, 9/17, I attended the Jason Schweinberg Classic (for CHD) in Sandwich IL. I met a few "heart kids" along with their parents that I have come to know through a heart-related board.

Sunday, 9/18, John C (from the El Camino Mailing List) and I drove to Dubuque IA to meet up with several people, including Ray B, who was in Iowa delivering a couple cars to a friend in Iowa.

Mary, my quilt block (along with Katie's) was not in attendance at the CHD Golf Outing. In discussions with Cathy and a couple other of the moms there, we don't believe that the quilt that holds the blocks for me and Katie is completed. We weren't even sure if a quilt # had been given.....

Kelly (in Indiana) plans to host a CHD Quilt gathering next July (2006). The quilt with my block (and Katie's) _should_ be there....

Andrew's too! They are updating his. It is on quilt #37 and they are adding his ICD. That quilt is not quite done yet; the back isn't on, but it was shown in Utah this past summer. We didn't go there either.

Aww Cort, I didnt know you were going to that. I 'know' Cathy from years back before she lost Jason and would love to see the project myself one day. Chloes block is on quilt 27, you could've had a peek for me. Never mind, glad you enjoyed yourself and the photos were lovely!

Gosh darn it ... ah, well ... not a problem. We're only 2 quilts away from each other...he he he.


And, Emma, I posted about it in "Small Talk" forums well before I went ... sorry you missed that post . I wish some of the other Chicago area people had seen it too . Maybe next year.....

but that bit of news brought tears to my eyes! It is so comforting to know that Katie is not out there on some quilt with just a bunch of strangers. She is next to her/our friend........or in Katie's words, next to her "cousin" since she still insists that our dinner last year was with our cousins.

And these are the very pics I saw, Cort, thanks to Kelly. I love the one with you and all the kids. Even if the kids don't realize it, Cort, you are such an inspiration to us moms.

And I think that Emma might have been in DW or just recuperating from that when you posted. Much love. J.
