:) Hello all! Was in the hospital a couple of days to get fluid off my heart. They made an extension of my previous incision, drained off a pop can full of pericardial fluid and blood and cauterized another hole for overflow so this doesn't happen again. I guess I was close to other side. The vomiting after this was worse than open chest in March! Anyway, my cardio scolded me very forcefully about my condition. I have been so used to PCP's who practically have to be yelled at to move and cardio wants to know everything. I am thinking of finding an Internist in a larger city near me to manage my overall care as I have several health issues. I of course will still keep my cardio-he is wonderful. Have any of you thoughts on this?
I can breathe now, it's wonderful. So this is what normal is?!!!
:p

Hi Penny-

You sound so much better. Glad you have a pushy card. It should be a smooth recovery now.

I'm glad everything worked out.

Take care,

Happy you are still among us. Sorry to hear about the setback. I know all too well how it feels.

My story is in the personal stories section on this site.

Rest up and take care.

Hi Penny,

I'm glad you are breathing easier at last. Now that you are finally over the mountain you might as well keep on walking and get that obstacle behind you . I really hope things go smooth for you now. Keep us informed as to how you are doing okay?....Betty

Well, yuk!

Well, yuk!

That sounds really icky, Penny. I'm so sorry you had such an unpleasant experience. It seems there's simply no end to cruddy things they can do to you. Fortunately, this one sounds like it really did the trick. Were you in the hospital long? And did you have to provide the pop can??? :D

Welcome back and hope you stay with us.
