This site is kind of cool. See what your area has from years gone by.

Here is the Hoover Vacuum Factory as it was. Today, it's still pretty much the same.

My poor little county in Southern Illinois doesn't have any!
But I did find the main street of the town where I was born.
Randy, if that's a fish, I can't see it!

This is fun, Ross!
Here are the only two they have for Cape Girardeau, where I've lived for the past 25 years.

Thanks for the great site, Ross. Here is the main street in New London- not that different than it is now. Dick's office is at the very top of this street near the courthouse on a street that runs across the top of this street.

Here's a good view of the Thames River and Long Island Sound. Those rocks are just a 1/4 of a mile down from where we live. The water hasn't changed much- just a little beach erosion.:(

You are always welcome- any day!!

Interesting - nothing from Cincinnati but I did find one from our little county.

Great site - thanks.

I'll have to remember to take the camera in town next trip and get a new shot from the square. It really hasn't changed all that much, but it's been sold to some Japanese company now, so who knows what's in store for it.

I used to play in this house when I was a kid in the 5th to 8th grade. One of my friends lived there. I used to babysit in the house next door. It was also on my paper route. The fence and statues were never there in my lifetime but it was (and I imagine still is) a magnificent home. The original owner was quite the eccentric (ah...statues on the fence posts???) and, among other things, wrote a book called "A Pickle for the Knowing Ones." The book was some sort of financial advice pamphlet with no punctuation in it. At the end he included a page that was full of punctuation marks and told readers to salt and pepper it as they pleased.

It happens my dad is a collector and dealer (on Ebay) of such postcards. I sent him the link. Thanks for posting it, Ross.
