pem is doing well after AVR

pem doesn't seem to have made the calendar. His valve replacement was yesterday morning (Dr Speir at Inova Fairfax) and there are several posts on his blog reporting good progess.

Thanks for the update. I was just thinking of him yesterday and prayed that he had gotten over the mountain safely. I hope his recovery is smooth and without huge bumps.
