Patient-Prosthetic-Mismatch (PPM)
PPM can result when too small of a valve is placed in a large patient. I recall reading a comment that a 21mm aortic valve in an Adult Male patient may be an example of PPM. A surgeon known for his Minimally Invasive Right Thorocotomy approach to MVR also brought up this subject during an interview.
Note that PPM can sometimes also result when small valves are placed in children. (see Google search results)
