Paresthesia and/or numbness

Hi there,

I came across a thread here about paresthesia... but starting a new one. Are there any members with this condition? How can paresthesia be treated - perhaps for the symptom itself (and other symptoms) since there can be different medical causes...

What other symptoms do you generally get with your paresthesia? Numbness and tingling, any different sensations as well?

I have been getting it for a couple years now- numness/tingling and at times a senstaion of heat. Mostly its postional or when sleeping,and always hands and feet. It seems to fluctuate. I also can't tell if its related to meds like beta blockers, poor circulation from a low pressure or output, or the simple fact that I am no longer a 25-39 year old anymore.
Are you on any meds that have this as a side effect?
Are you or were you a smoker?
I'm not sure but anemia may also play a role. I used to smoke and am on metoprolol,so its hard to tell what the true cause is. I try to take omega
3,6, and 9, drink herbal teas like ginger,and exercise as much as i can.
