I?m happy to report that Burair got in touch with me because he was passing through Portland. We met for lunch at Serrato in NW Portland (Burair?s treat!) and then we drove up to the Washington Park Rose Garden to wander through the thousands of blooming, fragrant roses. We stayed and stayed, hoping for the clouds to burn off so that Burair could see our beautiful Mt. Hood from this hilltop garden. Finally, as Burair?s luck would have it, he made one last turn, looking east to search for the elusive mountain and there it was?.even though abit hazy; probably due to travelling smoke from the forest fires in central Oregon.
It was certainly a very lovely way to spend an afternoon. It is always so comforting and connecting to meet face to face with others who have ?made the journey?. Many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Burair, so you know what I mean!
Here we are at the test gardens.
