ok so it will be three year on sept 3 since my first replacement. And mayo has said in my CT Scan & TEE that I have Subvalvular Pannus... I know what pannus is but what does the subvalvular mean?? and if someone else has had there valve replaced again due to pannus what were your symptoms? what happened? What kind of surgery did they do, size of valve did they replace? Thank you for all of your help & advice...

Subvalvular is the area right below the valve, which valve? if it is the aortic, it would be the part between the valve and ventricle..not the side between the valve and aorta, if that makes sense. As for symptons etc, it really depends on how much there is ect, but when it gets bad enough, Justin's symptons were the same as when he has bad stenosis. I'm not sure how they decide when to operate, Justin's were never growing by his valve, but if it is getting close to the leaflets, they would have to operate sooner than they would if it is "just" causing some stenosis.
