Came home from a fairly uneventful AVR on Tuesday, June 10, but haven't felt much like posting, since my body seemed to want to nap frequently. Now it's 4 am, I'm wide awake, and I've enjoyed reading of your prayers and good wishes for Pat and me. Family, friends, and other good-hearted people like you on this forum are such an important part of the recovery process. Thank you!

Wish your recovery is quick and as uneventfull as your surgery!:)

Welcome home Harlan! I'm glad things were uneventful. Make sure they stay that way by taking good care of yourself. Your only jobs for the next few weeks are walking, eating, sleeping and breathing.

Nope, there's another job - taking your meds!

Congratulations on such a speedy homecoming! Take care of yourself.

When your body says nap....then you nap. I hope you recovery continues to go well.Take it easy.:) Don't overdo it.

Welcome Home. Happy things have gone well for you and hoping it continues exactly that way.

Keep us posted.

Harlan,
Welcome home and do all the resting you can? I have been quite a night owl, too, since my AVR on May 6th. I am not sure if it's from being awake more at night while in the hospital or what. Hope your recovery goes great!
