Question: Can you donate organs after being on warfarin? I was told by the Red Cross that they did not want my blood so I was just wondering.

I would think that they will take any organs that can be used.

We had a very nice young man who worked at our skating rink, die in a tragic motorcycle accident last month.. He was an organ donor and at his memorial service.. a few weeks later a local woman from the organ donation center spoke and said that he had helped over 100 people with his donations
I was totally amazed!
they even used his skin!.. and that guy had some Serious tatoos!!
I hope some young teen boy got them

Hi, I just wanted to step in and tell everyone how important organ donation is. My husband is the recipient of a kidney which came from a person who was tragically killed in an auto accident. He has had the kidney for 34 years!!!! He is actually one of the longest kidney transplants in the counrty. He has had some problems, but it sure beats the alternative!!!! There are many many people waiting for organ donations, it is such a kind thing to do... All the best to everyone.. Rose
