MichelleP - The shirt is on its way to you!

Are you sure that's post-surgery??? You look great! I'm sure Ross will be along to request a shot showing the scar.

Ruth,

Nice pic but I do have one critique..... Where's the "Saturday Night Fever" pose???? Part of the right of passage into The Order of The Tawdry Shirt is LOOKING LIKE A GEEK for everybody:eek: ...

Normally we would require an additional pic in the requisite pose.... However, since you have already sent the shirt on its journey to the next recipient - we will grant dispensation this one time...:D

Ah, another knight of the Order of the Tawdry Shirt, Sir DavidFortune has spoken. Lest there be any insinuation of my reluctance to appear 'geeky' before this august Order let me post the requisite, and far less attractive, pose......

Notice IV bruise on left arm.....

You look awesome!!! I won't be nearly as stylish in my shirt pose. Everyone will just have to accept me as is. :)

Mi' Lady Ruth,

My most humble and sincere apologies for any impugnment on thine integrity for thou hast indeed fully and steadfastly completed the rights of passage into The Order of The Tawdry Shirt.

Many thanks for posting this photographic likeness in full TOTS regalia!

At your service,
David

 Wow, having some guy talk to me that way about a shirt is just about insentive enough to sign up for another VR!!! :D :D

You look great Ruth!! You have worn thy shirt with such integrity. I bow before thee!! You look like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

"Notice IV bruise on left arm.....[/QUOTE]

coulda fooled me. I was sure it was a tattoo on m'Lady's arm.

You are looking GOOD!

We are august? I didn't know that.

Sir Stretch, excellent point, I've amended the posts with the surgery date and photo date. I included those based upon your format on the photo I autographed and put in the box for Michelle. Yes, I think that it's encouraging. I took a lot of comfort in the knowledge that you all were up and engaging in such frivolity so quickly. Mine is 8 days post op. I wanted to do it the day before but my camera batteries weren't charged

Cathy, Anita and all of you in the waiting room - wishing you all the best, will be keeping our fingers crossed for you! You'll do great. :)

Oh absolutely gorgeous Ruth...!! But a question here for you -- how did they get all your long, long hair under that itty bitty cap -- the one like Stretch has on in his avatar?!?! Course ya know, we girlies would wonder about stuff like that...

Ah, the green cap, now that was funny!

I'm laying in the hall on the gurney outside operating room #17 (mine) and the anesthesia guy is there saying his bit and the assistant guy is trying to shove my hair into the green cap. My hair is not nearly as long as it usually is (waist length) as I've done 2 hair donations in the past 5 years. Still at mid shoulder length it's very thick. This poor assistant guy isn't going to be able to do it I'm thinking and the anesthesiologist guy is saying he's going to give me "something to relax" which I know means "knock you out for the next 8 hours" and I figure I gotta do *something* quick or my hair will be all over the operating room. So, I grabbed the little green hat away from the assistant, sat up on the gurney, rolled my hair into a bun, stuffed it into the hat, laid back down and I remember *NOTHING* after that. At least my hair was protected!

OK, here's an aside, they have 21 OR's at the hospital and one of them is #13. I've been in hotels where there isn't even a 13'th floor, ummm, I told the driver of the gurney that they shouldn't even HAVE an OR #13.....

Us girls, we all think alike......

Ruth
