Bob, funny you should mention the English version of the color. I decided to check my refrigerator for my little jar of Grey Poupon(thinking of the silly Rolls in the old commercial), but the mustard is from the Dijon area of France. So, is grey English or French, or both? Ha! I will now at least have a memory device to choose which way I spell grey in the future!
Ann, I do remember that very fun little item from Nancy about how we only need the first and last letter to recognize words in context. And yes, having turned 50 last december, I really am starting to feel a waning of importance of many things. Could be the heart condition knocking, too. So far, it has not affected my desire for proper spelling, mostly just the amount of tolerable dust on my dresser!
Al, funny about the yellow pages. I have sometimes grabbed that, too, as it is always more available than our dictionary!
