I have now gone one year since my Mitral surgery. I feel great and want to to start my Marathon training again,or maybe just running in general. I have only had a few setbacks( heart racing) but too few to mention. I feel allot better when I am exercising, instead of just sitting around..happy summer to all!!

Hey - congratulations on being ready! I have one question, though. If you were a marathoner, how did you ever go a full year without running? I've only been a recreational runner/jogger, and am alomost 11 weeks post-op, and I'm already going crazy. The mind is willing, but the flesh is weak. . .

Wishing you continued success and your recovery. Hope you can get into that marathon but listen to your body.

Jeri
