Hi everyone

It's a year today since I had my AVR. Can't believe it. I feel great and have a new lease of life. For all of you who are about to have surgery or know that it will be in the near future I can only say that the worst part is the waiting. Once you get the date to go into hospital you feel that things are happening and before long it will all be over and things can only get better. Having a loving partner to help and support me certainly made things easier. We tend to forget that our partners also are going through a tough time and have a lot of stress and worry to cope with. Best wishes to you all for 2003.

Hi Peachy,

Congrats on your one year anniversary!!! I can remember mine well. I can only imagine all the thoughts going through your mind today. What a difference a year makes! Just wait until next year.

Hope you make today a special one. My wife and I got all our firends together that sat with her in the waiting room while I went through the emergency surgery and took them all out to dinner on my anniversary. It was like a birthday party. <smile>

May you have many healthy years ahead,
Rob

Congratulations, Peachy. I remember it well. Seems such a short time ago. Sounds like you are doing great and it is an honor to celebrate your first birthday with you. Love to both of you.

Hi Peachy - I had the exact same experience only two years ago on the 10th of Jan. You sound like you are doing great.

thanks peachy and happy NEW YEAR to you

I'm will be getting avr in the near future. I'm going to try to hold off for at least 10 yrs. I think if I stay real calm and sleep a lot I might just make it.:D yeah, sure! thats what I said to my cardiologist and he said " never will happen". Its like going to the dentist, I know I have to but wish I could just postpone it a little longer.
glad your doing so well and I see for you, it was the ce valve---also my choice.:)

Hi Peachy

CONGRATULATIONS on your "yearaversary!!!" I hope you have many many many more. Tyce had his 6 months ago and it seems like ancient history....probably because I don't want to remember it!!! You're absolutely right about having a supporting spouse and how much they go through, too....you said more than a mouthful on that one!

Again, VERY best wishes for tons more anniversaries.
