Yep, paper - I recommend the little flag sticking out of the top of some Hershey's Kisses! Congrats!:D

Congratulations!

Paper it is, as long as it isn't the paper wrapping tobacco!

Congratulations on both anniversaries.....

Wishing you many smokefree years of good heart health.

Congratulations- I have never figured out all those anniversary themes :) Congrats even more on not smoking- my best friend has been batteling the smoking addiction for half her life- it is truly a battle you are winning! Good for you!

Congratulations

Congratulations

I, too, just quit in advance of surgery on July 4. Had a relapse on July 8,9 and part of 10 but am now back on track. My surgery is scheduled for July 21if all goes well in pre-op today. Nicotine is a terrible addiction to break and I hope you don't mind if I use you for inspiration. Maybe even a word of encouragement as I move from the waiting room to the other side.

Again congratulations on your anniversaries - quite an accomplishment. Be proud!

You are already ahead of me! You are quitting on your own. I was in my doctors office and started w/SVT and they took me to the hospital and decided to do the AVR. I had no choice but to quit smoking. When I got out of the hospital I had 11 days w/no smoking and I cough when I smoked and did not want to cough! So, I decided to see how long I could go w/out smoking. For a long time, I thought, I will not smoke today. (A page out of AA) That is how I have done it. I was really scared of when the time came that my chest did not hurt. I had to really fight not to smoke. Now I don't think of smoking near as much as I used to. Kind of hard because my husband smokes, but he smokes out in the garage (his choice). I will encourage you any time!! Thoughts and prayers to you on July 21st!

Wow! So proud of you for quit smoking! In my books you get GOLD and not just paper ;)

I have never smoked in my life, but if anyone should ask me to quit eating chocolates or sweet stuff, I would definitely not make it!

Keep up the good work :D

My wife does this too. It does make it hard for us though. Just the smell of it sometimes sets my mind off on wanting one, which is funny since I'm on oxygen constantly and can't breath for poop to start with.
