Congratulations!

This might be a little random, but every time I see my aunt, I have this huge sense of awe and respect for the technological advances we've made in the medical field. It's a deep feeling I get that's kind of indescribable. The woman is tangible proof that this disease is survivable, and she's one of only two people I know in real life that've had AVR. I always think about how fortunate we are to have the ability to fix it, and how the results could've been very different for her. But alas, my brain is always in overdrive.

I guess the reason why I mention that might be because it's so common to see survivors here on this forum, but in real life, you might barely know one person with the disease.

So, my hat's off to you Jeanette. You've got guts.
