Omnicef Anyone know anything about this antibiotic?

Well, I went to the doctor today for sinus problems again. I was given a prescription for omnicef. I have never heard or this antibiotic before but didn't foresee any problems with it. I almost had a heart attack when I went to pick it up and the pharmacist said it was 93 dollars! For whatever reason, my insurance wouldn't cover any of the cost. All I can say is that I had better get a good buzz from this stuff as much as it cost me Jeff was not happy about it when I told him. Good thing this happened a year and a half after his surgery instead of before it

Guess I won't be doing anything for awhile.

A broad spectrum antibiotic. I took it two years ago for a nasty chest infection. It does the job, but works kind of slow. At least it did for me.

I suffer from sinus infections a lot. It's what my ENT always prescribes. I don't know much about the antibiotic, but I'm on it right now (another sinus infection). It seems to clear up my sinus infections more so than other antibiotics. Hope it helps Martha
