Does anyone know if Omega 3 Fish Oil supplements have vitamin K and would it effect my coumadin level?
My triglycerides are high and will do a new test next week. I asked the nutritionist at the hospital and she didn't know. I am going to ask the doctor as the nutrionist recommended them as a way to help lower triglycerides or cholesterol. But doctors don't usually know much about vitamin k content.
Thanks, Missy

I don't think that Fish Oil has any vitamin K in it.

Personally, I got tired of Fish Oil and stopped it (I do not take warfarin) and after 2 months without any, my triglycerides were the best they have ever been in the past 10 years.

I think Fish Oil is in the "might help and can't hurt" category.

30 minutes of exercise 5 days per week and limiting the intake of sugar will lower the triglycerides more effectively.
