I'll supply a picture the newspaper should have put in:
The crooked aspen tree, which are found around North Battleford and Hafford Saskatchewan are great to climb - I grew up around these trees in Hafford. No one can explain why they grow this way.

Netmiff,
Yup theres more to see in saskatchewan than endless praries
and big sky.
The crooked trees are awesome only the brave go into the
bush on the night of full moon:eek:(THE SIGN SAYS ANYWAY)
I grew up in this area and went to school here, youd be amazed
what we saw and stories we heard.
But it is a botanical mystery, all the other trees as close as 10 meters
grow normally.People with psychic abilities don't seem to wanna hang
around there too much, but it is an awesome spot ,i do have alot of
pictures and my grandaughter even brought back a small broken limb
that lay on the gound and it is soooo crooked she wanted to keep it
as a momentum we took her there.
I dont believe in bad luck i just have it naturally(LOL)
But ever here in this part of the world, take it in,see for yourself.:)

I am SOOOOOO clever at times, I even manage to amaze myself :D

Sorry about the fold in the paper - it was in the blue box for a day or two!

The caption reads : "The gravesite of 8 aboriginal men who were involved with the North-West Rebellion in 1885 is marked by tepee poles overlooking the Nort Saskatchewan River in Battleford. The eight men were tried for murder and hung within the walls of For Battleford, located in a National Historic site of Canada just metres away."

and the second (an final) one ; The caption reads : Chris Oldshaw, mayor of Battleford, looks over the remnants of an opera house in the upper floors of the town hall office. Built in 1912 and used for live theatre and local functions, the house was destroyed by fire in 1965"
