Last night I had a fever and noticed my right lung felt wheezy. I tried taking in some big deep breaths and now have a severe pain in mh lower right lung when I breathe. Possibly pluracy I guess. I wish my recovery was going smoother. It's depressing when you think you are healing up right and then having a set back like this.

Michelle,

I am so sorry you are having this setback. I had a couple myself. It's no fun. My thoughts will be with you.

The ER is the right place to be Michelle. Try to stay calm. I was there myself. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Draining it didn't not come up. They are adding 600 mg of motrin three times a day to my pill regime and they gave ne an iv of antibiotics in the hospital and a prescription for zpack. They also want me drinking more water and they want me to be more vigorous with my spirometer usage. I have to check up with my doctor in two day to let her know where I'm at.

I hope you feel better soon. so the fluid is in your lung and not in the plueral sac? Hopefully the meds and doing more breathing excercises will help get it cleared up.
Is this the same pain you were asking about the other day, or did it feel different? IF it is a new pain, hopefully the other pains get better too

The zpack may be the steroid. Don't forget that spirometer. I must have did it about 5-6 times a day. That is really important. My wife was all over me about that. I was probably drinking 60 oz water per day. The pain stinks but you'll be ok eventually. It's pretty scary to go through.

The Zpack is most likely zithromax

Zpak is a broad spectrum antibiotic.

I'm sorry you are going through this, Michelle. But I'm really glad you went to the ER. We knew you weren't feeling well. I'm glad you got it checked out.

Feel better soon.
