Hi Guys,

Sorry I missed wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgivng - sounds like those of you who have posted had a pretty wonderful time though! And hope that those of you with the stomach flu are getting better.

My question is for all of you. I had the weirdest feeling tonight. I was working around in my room - going through some things - sitting on my bed part of the time on and off again and out of the blue my leg fell asleep so I got up thinking it had fallen asleep went up stairs and then my arm/wrist fell asleep the same way and this lasted probably about 10-20 min. and then just as suddenly went away. Any one ever had that happen?? It was the weirdest feeling!!

Erica,
Did you notice any "pain" at all prior to the numbness? I ask because the symptoms you describe are similar to the ones I have had as a result of TIAs. I, of course, don't want to scare you but I think you should at least talk to your cardio about this "episode". It could be nothing but it could indicate some type of blockage.
Chance are it is merely a circulation change due to a strange position (sitting, bending, etc.) but I would definetly follow up.
Smiles,
Gina

Hi Erica,

Your particular phenomenon would happen frequently in my leg (for years) prior to surgery. Upon reflecting back a few years after surgery...present were little white blotches on my lower arms and calves.

I chalk this up to restricted circulation. When you have your ticker repaired..you should feel less and less of this. :)

thanks!

thanks!

Hi Gina and Gina! :)

I hadnt noticed any pain, the only thing strange today has been an ear ache with itchiness but I have been meaning to go to the Drs. cause I'm pretty sure I have a ear infection. Have had fast heart rate on and off all day. And funny Gina M that you say that about the white splotches cause Ido have those!!

Will talk to my Cardio,

Erica

Intersting Erica. My guess was circulation because it dissapated completly after my surgery. Will be interesting to see what your card has to say.

Take care.

Are you on any diuretics? I was just wondering. Sometimes if your pottasium is low because of diuretics you will get numbing. Specifically in the exremities.

I just noticed on your profile that you are on florinef. It is used to lower pottasium. This is just a suggestion but maybe you should get your pottasium levels checked. It's just a thought...
