Notice any license plate ... oddities?

We've seen witty/interesting license plates, such as these in IL:

BMW AT 40, Pontiac Grand Am
TUTH D K, Honda Civic coupe


...BUT ... have you noticed any plate ... ODDITIES?

One morning on the way to work, I happened to glance in my rear-view mirror ... and thought I saw the word "SEX" on a license plate. As I waited to turn left off Route 58 onto Barrington Rd, the vehicle went past ... and I looked at the rear license plate ... and noticed that it was a generic IL plate that had "X35" as the first 3 characters. Wonder how THAT got past the IL sensors...?!!

Did you hear about the vegetarian woman in Colorado who wanted hers to say ILVTOFU (I love tofu) and the officials denied it for being obscene..

I saw a generic Texas plate the other day with FUQ. I know they used to censor anything like that, but I guess we're running out of options!

In Australia many of our generic playes are 3 letters with 3 numbers...at one stage when I went to register a car the letters were up to FCK...I got asked if I wanted to take that option or did I want a different choice!...I took the FCK because I knew hubby would like it...I was right....usually they censor out all those sort of words here too so I dont know if they got slack or what the reason was but there certainly seemed to be close to the 1000 plates going around with the FCK as well as many with other similar variants.

LOL! Yes, I heard about that one. It is odd how some things get past the officials; others don't....

Geez. You'd think that one would be censored. Obviously, it isn't the actual word, but sometimes ... even omitted letters tell the tale, so to speak .
