There's not been any ground-shaking events going on in my life lately (..well aside from the move interestate, but then that's old news now..), but since I could be losing my phone-line soon, I thought I'd log in for a quick update.
I just got back from a 2 week trip up to sunny Queensland. I thought it was high time I saw my dad, since it's been about 7 years. Nothing much has changed there, but it was nice to catch up and enjoy some warmer weather.
Back in Victoria, my beloved and I are now out of the pokey little motel room the company had put us in and are staying with a lovely couple until the settlement for our house comes through (22nd Oct) and we can move in. It's great having a bit more space, but they've put in an order to disconnect their land-line (..the cost is ridiculous..), so I'm not sure how much longer I'll have access for the internet.
I've also got a date (28 Oct) to see the new cardiologist in Melbourne. I'm booked in for one of those ultra-sound thingies, followed by a consultation. I don't know if she's received all my background info yet - I'm kind of hoping she hasn't so she reviews me with an open mind, but I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes.
Oh.... I've also been offered a reception job doing some part-time hours at the motel we were staying at. I explained to the owner that I don't know how I'll go, but she said we could start of slowly and see how I feel. It sure would be nice to have some spare cash now we've got another house to pay off, so I think I'll just have to persevere and do the best I can.
Otherwise, I've not been feeling too bad. I've recovered from the move and my BP seems to be pretty good at the moment, so the dizzy spells have tapered off somewhat (YAY!). I'm still getting worn out easily (..my dad was pretty shocked at how much I've slowed down..... which just goes to show how much you "get used" to your condition..) but I'm still trying to get in a walk every day to keep SOME level of activity and fitness there.
Anyway, hope everyone else is going OK and that I'll have a few more days before the phone is disconnected to check in on you all.
Cheers
