this is the American Medical Association's page for getting the 1 in 7 Americans who aren't insured onto some kind of plan - there is a petition. I thought some of you uninsured Americans might be interested . . . I don't know the details, just posted the link for information.

complicated, isn't it? How many Americans can understand it? If the AMA is getting into it, I cannot put a lot of faith in it anyhow. We do have a real mess with health insurance and most policies are very confusing for the average person. I went through many inspections of the Medicare Part D programs and figured it all out - but am not satisfied with how it works. Actually costs me more to be in a plan than if I were not and paid full price for the meds instead. BUT if you don't join and later need to join, you are penalized financially! I delayed for a year and was penalized. Does that make sense.........
