Please, Chris-
You're being so nice about not getting your INR numbers in a timely fashion. It's not right that the results aren't discussed with you the same day as the test.
You're going to have to be much, much more assertive in order to protect yourself from having an anticoagulation problem.
It can be very uncomfortable for some people to be assertive, but it does get easier. It's for your ultimate health. You really don't want something terrible to happen to you such as a blood-clot or a bleeding incident.
If you are so afraid of your doctor, then maybe this isn't the doctor for you. He's doing you no favors by not getting your results to you right away.
Let me ask you a question. If the roles were reversed, and you were the doctor, would you procrastinate with your patient on an important test result and thus endanger their health and possibly put them in a life-threatening situation? And would you do it on a constant basis, multiplying the egregious behavior? I don't think you would do that.
Why would you allow someone to abuse you this way. You need those results and the dosage recommendation the same day it's tested.
For your doctor to do less, would be putting your life on the line.
Please, please, Chris, take good care of yourself. You only have one life to live. As things are going now, you could have a stroke, a bleed, or something worse. Your valve could be compromised, necessitating another valve surgery. Do you really want that to happen.
Nothing is going to change with this situation, unless you do something yourself to correct it. Apparently, your doctor thinks it's OK to treat you with this kind of disdain.
We can't do this for you, this is something you have to do for yourself.
You are precious and there is only one YOU.
Take good care,
