Nine years today!

Hi everybody, I just wanted to let you know that it's already been nine years since I had my third replacement surgery. I'm in line for my fourth now which I sincerely hope will take another couple of years. It's very hot and sunny here in Brazil today, just like on the day of my operation. I also want to thank all of you for helping me cope with my worries and fears during this year, and not only did I manage to regain my confidence, but I've also made many great friends here. I'll take the opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas followed by a very happy and peaceful New Year. I love you all!!

But please, PLEASE, be careful with the words "very hot and sunny" since it is so very cold in the Midwest, 3 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment, with a wind chill well below zero.

You've been such a support and inspiration to me as I've gone through my recent OHS and I just wanted to say thanks. I appreciate so much your prayers and kind words of encouragement and I've never taken the time to tell you.

Many congrats on your anniversary. I wish you MANY more before you need any additional surgeries. Hot and Sunny.....NOT....Here in Long Island, NY we're looking at freezing rain, snow and yucko cold....NOT fun for us.

Congratulations Debora.
I am also happy to hear the weather is so beautiful there. It was cold here today but the sun was out and the sky was a deep blue. I don't mind the cold when the sun is out. It makes me miss California less.
I hope your fourth surgery is just as successful and that it happens when you want it to. It makes it a bit easier to plan.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate your kind words and wishes. There are times in our lives when we think everything is going bad and there's no way out, but if I come to think of it, if it hadn't been for the news that my valve was beginning to go, I wouldn't have found this brilliant site and you. The weather is great again and although I don't really feel so good in the heat, I just love sunny days! Thank you again for being there for me!
