Night Sweats Started Again!

hELLO EVERYONE!

Just a quickie......has any one else suffered from night sweats two years post surgery? About 2 months ago, my husand started having them again, like three to four nights a week. He awakes, and has to change his tee shirt, it is so wet. We've asked his Dr., who sees no reason for it. Just curious. I know alot of you had night sweats immediately post surgery.....but he stopped after about a month, and this just recently started up again. Thanks - Marybeth

Well right there is the cause!

Honestly I don't know. I still have night sweats from time to time and my Doc isn't worried about it either. If someone has the answer, please inform us.

Your profile gives no indication where you live so this may apply. I am also sensitive to the sweats and at almost 2 1/2 years post op. I find that as the night progresses, the air conditioner runs less and thus less humidity is taken out of the air inside. This ups the humidity ..... I even have dehumidifiers. Thus if that happens close to the early hours in the AM, that could be a cause. What causes the extra sensitivity is a mistery to me also. I think it is my thyroid problems, but I really don't know.

I've seen sleep apnea as one of the causes. Does Wayne have that problem?
