in this morning's e radio news:
DFS Council Meeting
As the DeFuniak Springs City Council got together last night, Vegetarian Wendy Kempa asked to hold a public hearing to place an animal clinic with no overnight stay to be located where Hungry Howies currently is located. The council approved setting a hearing. RG & T of Destin asked to set a public hearing to locate a business in the old Wal-Mart building. The hearings will be at the first meeting in September. Walton County asked to set a public hearing to consider the use of a small brick house near the jail as office space for the county.
I wrote them and said:
We read your news and just to prove it, I wondered why a vegetarian would want to open an animal clinic - as stated in today's news.
My chuckle for the day.
Thanks
Ann

The story from the DeFuniak Springs City Council incorrectly listed Wendy Kempa as a vegetarian, not as Veterinarian Wendy Kempa. First News is unaware of Dr. Kempa's dietary habits. She wishes to open an animal clinic where Hungry Howie's currently sits. The pizza place is moving across the street. Sometimes the spell check finger is faster then the eye.
Sorry, Kevin at WZEP First News.
