hello ...i hope you all are fine,

during these two days i was worse than ever . chest pain increased like its burning , dizziness, feeling cold and heaviness in legs under my knees , and my heart beat goes over 120! with a simple moving . moreover i have hypertension .
i just talked to my cardiologist , she said maybe its because of stress, and added propranolol to my drugs( lozar and triameteren-H ) . but you knw i was really calm and adjusted with the situation . ( thought i feel a bit depressed and frustrated now )

one more thing , most of the people here who they had surgery, adviced me to have some activities like walking but she refused and told me to limit everything . im totally confused and still the only thing makes me worried is changing the condition to something unexpected, then i will be regretful that why i didnt do this and that ... ! bored of this kind of thoughts and desicion makings .
do i need to visit another cardiologist ?

have fun

Hello

Hello

Solmaz,
Did you mention your brother is a doctor? Is he nearby so that he could possibly examine you? When did you start the new medicine? If you feel as bad as it sounds you must, I would call my cardiologist back. I can understand your frustration. Keep us updated, ok?
Wishing you the best,
Debbi

hi debbi and thx ...
yes my brother is doctor but not cardiologist . and as you knw doctors are very cool ! of course they have to be .
actually im in doubt i have high tolerance against pain and syptoms! so i cannot exactly assess my condition ...i will wait till tomorrow morning then call my brother to ask if i need to meet surgeon , cardiologist or ...maybe these are just small things that happen to everyone ...as he is keeping all my documents like echos if there was something necessary he did it for me.

but what can i do ? im a patient with every possible assumption about this illness:)

Hey again!
I do understand your anxiety! I will tell you honestly that these pre-surgery days are the worst! You are going to be feeling so much better very soon. Will you have Barbara or your Italian friend post for you after your surgery so we can hear the good news that you are on your way to better health???? I can't wait for that day for you! :D
Take care,
Debbi

Hello, Solmaz - it sounds like you need attention today. I agree with Ross. Can't you get in touch with your brother right away? Please keep in touch.

Solmaz-

Do you have an emergency room at your hospital? That is where you would be if you were my husband. The chest pain/discomfort, feeling cold, heaviness in your legs and a heart rate that is very fast are all things that need immediate attention.

I wouldn't wait around any more. get going and find some help for yourself. Do it NOW, please.

I agree. Hopefully by now (some 7 hours since your post) you've found someone to check you out.

It's very scary having symptoms and not knowing just how serious they may or may not be. This is why it's always a good idea to get yourself examined right away when you are in doubt. We have a saying in the USA "better safe than sorry". In other words, it's better to take the safe approach rather than to be sorry later that you didn't and taking the safe approach is getting your symptoms checked out quickly.

Best wishes.

Hi ?
Hope you enjoying your weekend .
Thank you for the responses ?.as I said last night I called my cardiologist and she didn?t treat it as a serious problem but in other hand my mother became so worried?I was nagging ?I have stopped my life , when will be the surgery and ??.then this morning she went to the hospital and talked to the surgeons assistant ?the reply was: ? don?t worry ?.nothing will happen in a short time . we are searching for a couple of biologic valves for you ?its not mechanical to buy easily ..as soon as we find you will come here :) ?
So I feel more comfortable ?he even gave his tel number to my mom that I call him if its needed . i will call him whenever he is out of surgery room caz this dizziness is increasing . for few seconds lose my energy .

to debbi : i ask my frinds to do that :)

To tax : again thx for being so caring ..its not a usual compliment , no I really feel so . just please please , lets talk about our hearts here ok? :)
Im ready to answer all your questions , about whatever they are but not in this forum , you can mail me and be sure im good in political and cultural issues with enough knowledge .
And, we all are grown up , we know that at firs we should listen to our doctors . about me, the symptoms were not the result of exercise ..the responses we get here help us to have a general view about the issue that helps a lot . And don?t forget every body`s first advice was talking to doctors in fact they encouraged me to do that otherwise I could easily ignore it :)
Have a nice time

Well said, Solmaz!

Well said, Solmaz!

I too had rheumatic fever at 8 and three years later I had no aortic valve.
Heart problems have no borders and anyone here with a heart problem is our family.
Best of luck my dear friend!:)

It's true that the most common advice from the forums to newcomers is to keep some activity in their lives. And generally, this is good, common sense, as being active going into surgery tends to produce faster recuperation.

However, very few are as highly symptomatic as you seem to be. Your valve issue seems much further along than most, with angina and palpitations at the least effort.

It really sounds like your doctor is telling you to keep your exertion down to a bare minimum until your surgery can be done. I would heed that advice.

Your surgeons are working on getting an appropiate valve and setting up your surgery date. That's the thing that you most want to have happen now. Your life should improve immensely with replacement surgery.

Personally, from your posts, I don't think you're panicking or overreacting. You're actually on the calm side for someone in the waiting room. Of course you have some fears and concerns, but all of us do or did.

Best wishes,

Solmaz, I hope your are doing okay today. Sounds like you have a great mother on your side!

Solmaz, I hope you are doing better. If your chest pain becomes severe ,you are sweaty, short of breath, you have pain in your jaw or arm, please go to the emergency room of your hospital for an EKG. This is to make sure your heart is still OK. I will be thinking of you as they try and obtain your valve. Do not lose hope.Your family is your support.Deb
