I think this is probably the only time in my life that I can say that I am glad I had pneumonia and had to cancel my surgery. Claudette had turned into a tropical storm by the time she reached Houston but I still would not have wanted to be there during this time anyway. For anyone who is interested, I have been rescheduled for August 6th.

I should jump through the internet backbone and smack you. You know we're all interested, now behave! :D

Lettitia,
Of course we're interested! Best wishes on your surgery and for a great recovery!

Hi Lettitia,

I'm glad you have a new date. How are you doing with that? I wouldn't have wanted to be a patient during a tropical storm either.

Are you feeling fully recovered from the pneumonia? I wish you the very best results and a smooth recovery. You are on my prayer list.

Thanks guys, I know that you are interested I guess I'm just a little aggrivated and stressed. I have waited since March to get a date set for this surgery and when it almost gets here I not only have to worry about a hurricaine flooding the hospital again (like it did just before my first surgery) but then I get pneumonia. I hate this!!!! I hate waiting. I just feel like my life is on hold because everything I want to do except work on my book and cross stitch has to wait until after my surgery. Even with a very strict diet the inactivity has caused me to gain 20lbs. since March.
Thanks for putting up with my belly aching. I know everyone here totally understands how this waiting game feels.

hi lettitia!
i'm sorry to hear you have pneumonia and that you had to postpone your surgery until august 6th, but i am a strong believer in everything happening for a reason. i remember joey's surgery was initially scheduled for 9/12 and we were downtown for pre-op on 9/11! naturally, we rescheduled for the following week...
we tried to look at it as "found time".
it must be so difficult for you, i know_ as do many others here_ after preparing yourself mentally for this big day, but you will be fine. we'll keep you company while you get well and wait for aug. 6th to roll around.
in the meantime, focus on getting rid of this pneumonia so you go into your surgery strong and healthy.
feel better, sylvia

Waiting

Waiting

I am sorry you have to wait a few weeks longer but like the others said I believe that it is for a reason. I didn't have that long to wait bu mine was postponed twice.

Remember to stay busy and pamper yourself until then.

take care,
