It was amazing after 3 months but first three months I tried to be a good patient and not try too much.
Now 6 months post op all systems go. But bruises take longer to heal, cuts do not stop as instantly as they once did, need to be a bit more aware of the risks with my own natural clumsiness.
I was shoveling the snow - that right there says something! - and abraded my knuckle on the concrete retaining wall. It’s taken awhile to heal. Next time I shovel - wear gloves! Really simple.
Life with mechanical valve has been for me no big thing. 6 months out. Hope you get the same experience.
