Hi All,
Love this site. So much information. I had AVR 12 weeks ago today. Started rehab at 4 weeks, went back to work at 6 weeks, (no lifting) which is difficult because I own and operate a hardware/feed store. But I am up to 25 lbs. hope to get back up to at least 50 in the next 4 - 6 weeks. I am 45, ( till August lol) in great physical shape, and I feel better than I have in years. Although I must say that after 11 hours a day in store I'm pooped! And now its fireworks season, so living in our camper for next 3 weeks selling fireworks. Some VERY long days. I am tolerating it all fairly well, except for the heat. Here in the Ozarks we are looking at 90 plus all this week with 90 % humidty.
I would recommend to anyone facing ohs to treasure your pets or consider getting one. I have 4 Italian greyhounds, (at surgery time only 3) and they have been a godsend. Especially with the depression. They seemed to know when I needed them, I truly believe that helped me, especially during my time confined to home. Of course hubby helped a great deal, he just didn't know what to say !!
thanks to all for all the information here.

Welcome to our family.

Glad to hear all is going so well. Please continue to be cautious in your lifting. You don't want to irritate those wires - ouch. :(

You are still recovering so watch that heat. If you get SOB or tired or dizzy, listen to your body and SLOW down.

You are so right about pets. I have 2 Abyssinian cats that know my every thought. They are more like dogs in actions (other than the climbing to the top of everything) than cats. They greet me at the door, sit with me all the time, talk to me, etc. etc. They know if I am having a bad day.

Continued good luck in your journey and have fun selling fireworks.

Welcome and AMEN to your comments on pets.

As GeeBee said, listen to your body. You are doing well, so don't press your luck Mister!

thanks for the warm welcome ! I am learning to listen to my body, something I never did before. Just go until you can't and then go some more. However, being female, and a small business owner, with a side job, a husband, 4 dogs, 4 adult kids and 5 grandchildren, not a lot of time for taking it easy.
But like I said, am trying to pay attention better.
