New Dx

While we were leaving the hospital with Caleb one the residents mentioned that the Cardioloigist would talk to us about his Coarctation of the Aorta. Now I realize that maybe this isn't anyone's specialty but has anyone heard of this being found after a valve replacement? They also kept talking about his aortic valve being small, when I asked about it all I got was not to worry about it at this time... then why does everyone keep talking about it? I know that if they really thought that it would be a problem they would have fixed it right away, but now I'm worried about having to go back and fix these two things.

Good gracious! Hasn't that kid been through enough already? I can't help you on the dx, but I'm so sorry to hear there are more bumps on little Caleb's road.

My thoughts about why they would wait it if isn't causing any problems, is they might be wanting to let him grow as much as possible so he doesn't out grow the valve/repair? but I would call ask ask so you don't worry and wonder, Lyn
