I went to a new cardiologist and thought I would share some information:
1 - He told me my dizziness, seeing stars and shoulder pains had nothing to do with my heart. This is what my previous cardiologist told me.
2 - He told me I should take a daily aspiran to prevent clots, since I have someone else's valve in me. He implied that my previous cardiologist made an error by not telling me to do that.
3 - My blood work showed high cholesterol (219). He said I should go on a strict diet. I have looked through several web sites and have the general idea. Does anyone know a web site that has details about what foods to avoid?

Thanks - Bill

Good information on Cholesterol

Bill,

Check out http://www.drweil.com/app/cda/drw_cda.php Type "Cholesterol" in the search box and read the results.

I subscribe to Weil's newsletters and my PCP studies under him.

I've been taking Red Yeast Rice daily for a year (to naturally lower my Cholesterol). I tested after 6 months of using it and my total dropped by 40 points! I'm testing again next month to see what the full year's results come in at. I'll let you know.

Regards,
