need recommendation for on-x surgeon

I will probably need avr at some time in the future, maybe very near future. My cardio recommends mechanical and I have decided that it will be on-x.
Can anyone recommend a surgeon in the NYC area who is experienced in using this valve, or a contact at the on-x manufacturer who will be able to recommend one?

DR LEONARD GIRARDI NY Presbyterian Cornell/Weill. This guy was stellar. What a team! I had my valve replaced a second time and he put my new mechanical in 2 weeks ago. I was to get a ONX but it was too small and he opted for another one. Check out his bio on the NY Presbyterian website. I have nothing but good things to say about he and his incredible team

I have an On-X valve in the pulmonic position. Surgery was Aug 2009, and my surgeons were Dr. John Pigott and Dr. Weaver. Although he's not in NYC he travels for different procedures, so he may be able to offer a recommendation.

This was my second OHS, and the valve is working great. I do have some irregular heart beats and other complications but it's likely that's a result of my congenital heart defects.

However, I don't know if it would violate HIPPA laws for a surgeon to discuss the care of a patient for cardiac care. i have a friend who is a psychiatrist and she said that she cannot even confirm or deny she is treating a patient without some type of documentation from the patient.
