I was woundering what you think? and what to do?

My INR was finaly stabalizing and then bam, it goes down. For the last two months my INR has been around 2.6-2.9. Two weeks ago it was 2.9

I went yesterday and my INR was 2.4, I think I know why it came down I had a few salads last week, and for lunch 3 days last week I had a total of 6 sandwhiches in which they all had mayonnaise, I have also increased my exercise a little the past few weeks.

I have been useing Al's INR protocal and it says with an INR of 2.4 you should increase you dose by 10-15%.

My question is should I increase my dose or keep it the same, since I think I know why my INR went down, but then my INR is 2.4, should I increase it one or two days just to boost it up a little, and then go back to my normal dosing?

Here is my dosing now.
7.5mg for 6 days and 10mg 1 day.....Total= 55mg

Thanks
Dave

Dave since you've identified what may be the cause, I'd leave well enough alone for now. If it continues to go down, then make the 10% adjustment, but I think if you return to normalcy and retest in a week, you'll be fine. I would not change anything for 2.4, in fact I don't unless I hit 2.0 or 4.0, anything in between and I'm happy.

You could either do what Ross suggests or increase your dose by 1/2 of a 10 mg tablet for a week and restest. I would rarely increase a dose for an INR of 2.4.
