Hi Gina,
I still come on site several times a day read posts, and post replies if I feel I can provide some insight. I think that so many of the members are doing a great job of providing information that is more up-to-date to those with questions. Those that have recently gone through surgery probably have more current info to share, but us old timers can provide info from time and experience whenever possible.
I am working out of town again during the week days, and check in when ever I get a moment to, and YES... you are right we are totally enjoying the boat. When I get home on Friday, we pack our bags, the dogs, and head straight to the lake. We stay on the boat until Sunday night then back to reality. It will sleep six comfortably, but when folks ask us about how big it is, and how many it sleeps.. We say.. "It sleeps 2 adults and 2 dogs!" Keeps our friends to day trips and not uninvited overnight guests... hehehehe.
Health-wise I feel great... still monitor my INR weekly.. and yes.. it still bounces around.. but mainly between 2.5 and 3.6.. I really think weekly checking keeps me with-in range without any major swings. I don't get excited when I do go a little out of range.. It's no big deal to bring it back in.. as you well know. I remember how panic'd I'd get right after surgery if my INR went out of range by only 1/10th of a percent.. Gawd.. those days of panic and learning. Glad it's over... at least for now. Every day is special!
Hope things are well with you and the family in the Windy City. We have had the greenest summer here in TN. Seems the daily showers just haven't stopped as they usually do in July and August. This has to be a record for me having my lawn so green this late in the summer.
Thanks for taking a moment to check on me. I do post, just not as often.
ps.. the pony tail has grown just as much as my lawn. IT's back... hmmm maybe that's why I feel so good! Gives that Sampson and Delila story some credibility I think!
