An 85 year old, diabetic and over weight with a last known EF of 20%, should a person have this Myocardial Perfusion Spect Stress done?

Last echo was done 2 years ago with signs of CAD.

The test is scheduled for Nov.3 and is very apprehensive about going.

Would it be even safe to do such a procedure when no other tests in any shape or form have been done in the past 2 years?

Also, would there be any benefit to have this test done, beside knowing the heart could be in very bad shape?

Thanks

Freddie,
Sorry that I don't have an answer for this one. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this test will be able to help you out.
