I received a call yesterday, my youngest grandson (my sons youngest) he is having tests on his heart, there is a murmur and concern that he has a hole in his heart,(my son had this when he was an infant)...Now I almost hesitate to ask for prayers as my daughter in law tends to exaggerate(one time I argued with her that she was getting a biopsy, not an AUTOPSY),so I listen mostly to what Tony tells me..he had not told me to save worry, and also drs wouldn't know until little Connor grows a bit.
...
Praying that he doesn't have this family curse...
Have spoke to my son yesterday, and he confirms Connor is being checked, that they heard something...I am asking for subtle prayers please?
Thankyou ...

Hi Yaps

Hi Yaps

Hi there , sending prayers for Connor and wishing him all the very best for his test,
thinking of you too
very Best wishes

Sending my prayers for your grandson. I also have a daughter-in-law who greatly stretches the truth sometimes. I hope this turns out to be one of those things that just has to be watched. My son had a heart murmur at birth and he is 35 now and fine. He does not have a bicuspid valve like his dad.

you have my prayers and sympathy. My cousin's great grandchild (one of twins) was born with a hole in her heart. At 3 days old, they operated, fixed it and she's fine now.. It's been 2 or 3 yrs ago.....

Oh Yaps, I'm hoping the little guy gets only a good checking over and a clean bill of health out of this!

Now you KNOW you have my prayers and hugs Yaps...

It's always rough to see this kind of thing happen to the wee ones....they are so precious...Yaps, you and yours are in my prayers, thoughts and I am sending you a huge ((((((((((((((Hug)))))))))))))))))) from me to you and yours. Harrybaby:D :D :D

Yaps, thank you for letting us help in this way. Your sweet grandbaby has my prayers that all will be well.

I will keep Connor in my prayers and hopefully you DIL is exaggerating. If he does have a hole, hopefully it will be one that they can just keep an eye one and it will close on it's own. Did your son have to have his repaired? IF Connor does need a repair, remember there ae a few heart Mom's here, Lyn www.caringbridge.org/nj/justinw

Yaps,
I so hope there is nothing wrong with your grandbaby at other than an innocent murmer. These are very common in babies and dont need any intervention. He may just have an unclosed PDA from birth or a very small vsd or asd (holes in heart) which don't require surgery.
Hoping its one of these things.. am sure he will be just fine,

Please yell if I can help
Love Emma

<<Thankyou everyone..still no word...I am worried>.

Waiting and not knowing are so difficult.

Yaps,

Thoughts/prayers coming your family's way.

Ya know ... sometimes I wonder how it would've been for my grandparents if they had had internet when I went through the initial diagnosis and initial surgery in the early 70s. Knowing Gram, I think the whole world might've known in a matter of minutes ;). He he he....and, yes, that's a GOOD thing.

BTW, I had to muffle a laugh ... I literally burst out laughing when you noted that you argued with her about a biopsy instead of an autopsy. I almost forgot this was a serious post, as that reminded me of an episode of Designing Women where Suzanne had the ladies take a vote on something and, when the vote was over, she confidently announced: "Well, good ... that's settled ... it's anonymous." Of course, she meant "unanimous".
