Hi everyone my wife wanted me to keep you guys informed so here is what all happened. She had the valve replaced with a pig valve and had a triple bypass. Well after all that their was some bleeding and they were concerned about it but they started giving her meds to clot the blood but it still never stopped and the had to give her blood 2 times. So that morning in the waiting room I was sleeping and a dr rushed in and had me sign some papers so they could take her back to surgery again. I signed them and they found out it was the breast bone and it was not wired very good and so they fixed it and the bleeding stopped. She is awake now and the tube is out so she can talk. The swelling has gone down in her hands and other parts of the body. I think during all of this I got really stressed and had to come home for the night cause I did not feel very well. I feel a lot better today so I will more then likely go back today. My wifes son and I been staying with her around the clock. I forgot to add the breathing tube came out last night. I am going to get going cause I have things to do today.

God bless you all

Best wishes on her recovery....we're all with her.

Thanks for posting. We will keep you both in our prayers and pray that she has no further complications. How scary for you!

Sometimes there are some set backs, but it sounds like they've taken care of it. I know it's very stressful for all involved. Get the rest you need and stay well for her. She needs you. Give us a holler if you need something or some answers to the stuff going on around you.

I'm glad to her she's doing better now. Keep in touch. ;)

Hi Jason-

Thank you so much for letting us know about Judy. Please send her my best wishes.

These things can happen during this surgery, not all the time, but sometimes. The surgeons are always on the lookout for something like that and they responded and put out the fire, so to speak. She'll be on the road to recovery faster now. The breathing tube is out, so that's a very good sign.

Take good care of yoursef. Judy will need your help. It is stressful to be in the spouse position, I know, I've been there many times. So rest when you can, as much as you can.

Best wishes,

hi jason!

Hi Jason - Thank you so much for posting. You've had a scary time of it, but it should start to get better now. I'm glad Judy is doing much better, and we all can't wait until she feels well enough to post again. Give her my best from a fellow Hoosier. Chris

Thank you, Jason, for letting us know. We worry if we don't hear and then we will hunt you down and find out anyhow. It's been a scary day for you, hasn't it? What with her going back in for more things to be done. She'll be weak with the loss of blood along with all the other that was done. Her operation sounds like it was pretty extensive. But, believe it or not, she will probably be a new woman once her strength comes back. Please give her our best - and my prayers. And tell her, it looks like the truck got her, but she's gonna recover anyway. Love Ann

Thanks so much for posting, Jason; it was probably the last thing you wanted to do. We do care so much and it means a lot to us; we're terrible worry-worts.

I know this is awfully hard on the family; I really didn't talk to my husband about it for months after surgery. I was shocked at all that had gone on and how worried he was when he saw me after surgery. No mirrors in icu, you might have noticed.

I'm so glad Judy is on the downhill side now. She was probably so doped up that the extra surgery didn't register much with her. It will probably slow down her recovery a bit, but as others have said, she'll be so much better after this you'll be amazed.

You get plenty of rest while she's in the hospital because when she comes home you need plenty of energy. Take care. And thanks again.

Hi Jason

Hi Jason

Hi Jason,
I am so glad to hear that your wife is out of surgery and on the road to recovery, as one who is possibly facing valve replacement, I can relate to all the anxiety and nervousness that you/and your wife feel. Take care, and God Bless

Thanks Jason

Thanks Jason

Thanks for taking the time to let us know how Judy is doing. Now the hard part begins, the recouperation. Even though my surgery was 21 years ago, it is something that you just don't forget. Give her my best and tell her to take one day at a time.

Jason - Thanks for the info. I hope that Judy continues to get better. She always gave me the impression that she would get through this pretty easily, as soon as she made it past the surgery risk. Please tell her "hi" and to come back soon to post about her experiences. In the meantime, I will say a few prayers, for a quick recovery.

Hi Jason
Now the worst is over - let the healing begin.
Best of luck and God bless to both of you.
Susan
