I went to St. Louis this weekend and the trip was quite chaotic.

My niece -- the new mom -- didn't feel well when she left the hospital with the babies on 11/4. She was back at the hospital in the ER on 11/6 and they admitted her. She went back home 11/8. Diagnosis: flu & UTI.
Went back to ER on 11/9. Stayed couple of hours. Has some BP meds.
My sister was to fly home Sunday 11/9, but cancelled and eventually flew home Monday.

One of my niece's best friends from high school is there now to help her. My other sister & her dtr will go to St. Louis on Sunday for several days to give them a hand.

I got to feed each of the girls. They saw their doctor Saturday morning, since they had to go home with bili beds to treat jaundice, a common problem with premies. He took them off their special beds.

Here is the new mom with babies. This was taken 11/4, right before they left the hospital.
I will post another photo of me with one of the babies.

Holly looks radiant with her bundles of joy.....they are SO CUTE.

Holly will be a very good mom, and her husband will be a great dad.

I must admit that I'm rather disappointed that neither baby seems to have inherited Holly's auburn hair. At least, not that we can tell.
I've always thought that auburn hair is beautiful. Perhaps when one of the girls is old enough, I can lead her down the wrong path :D by persuading her to change her hair color.

The girls' grandmother just sent me another photo, which shows the girls much better. I think she took it yesterday (11/10) before she flew home.

My niece is using pink & green for their colors, so the girls are dressed in identical outfits, one pink and one green.

They are adorable- I know you enjoyed every minute of your visit!

My daughter was born with reddish hair, a product of her blonde Mom and dark haired Dad.
At 2 years of age she was super light blonde, then as a teenager she went to ash blonde, and now at 23 she is more blonde again.
Who knows what will happen?:)

So glad to hear about your new great-nieces. I will be a great aunt soon, too. My niece who just got married is expecting. She's 25...7 years younger than me. (I have old brothers!) :p
