My roommate in recovery

Here is an article about my roommate in recovery at the CPMC -- he recieved a heart transplant after being on a Ventricular assist device:

I dont know how he will fare with his new heart -- he was to be discharged from the hospital the day after I left and seemed to be doing quite well.

Incredible story Burair. I'm sending this on to my kids who have the widely held belief, of most young adults, that they are invincible and that their young bodies should be able to take on anything and bounce back.

What a touching story! I hope you'll be able to keep in touch with Brandon or his dad and keep us posted. He no doubt has a hard road ahead of him, but it sounds like he has the right attitude now to give it his best. Brandon and his family will be in my prayers.
