It is what it is! I wish it said 100% everything, but this is the cards I was dealt. Anyone who can decipher these numbers for me, it will be greatly appreciated.
RV 2.4 Diastolic LV 5.3 Systolic LV 3.4 Aortic root 1.9 (yeah baby!) LVOT 2.0 Trace mitral regurg. Mild aortic regurg. Peak gradient Aortic is 11 with a mean of 6. Trace to mild tricuspid regurg. Mild to moderate pulmonic regurg. LV ejection fraction of estimated 55%.
so there you have it. It will be one year in August for this 2nd OHS. It was for thoracic ascending anerysm and AVR.

I don't know what most of it means, either. You know, no one has done an echo on me at all since my surgery. Period. I have had more than one chest X-ray (for a variety of reasons that seem silly in retrospect), some EKGs, but nothing else. I guess, as always, I will have to take charge of this thing. My aneurysm was always in a blind zone (to echos) so, who knows? My cardiologist is not very "talkative" so I guess I will have to figure out what she should be doing.

Anyway, your "root" sounds good, indeed!

You really need to have a post op echo Maryka!

i can tell you at least that your aortic valve is pretty close to perfect clean. meaning the opening of your valve is pretty close to normal! the peak and mean gradients measure the opening of the valve.

DEE,
I just readyour results of your echo on another post. It's been 10 months post op for me. A lot of people are saying it will go back to normal or closer to normal in time. Mine is a lot better than it was pre-op, but not normal. Yours isn't normal either. How long has it been since your surg?
