My New Avatar

After years of hiding behind my kids, using their pictures as my avatar, I have finally decided to add my own! Now you guys that thought I was a hot teenager are all disappointed. Instead I am a middle-aged, hard headed, not so skinny, woman! Please ignore my wrinkly neck! Notice I am wearing sunglasses so you can't see the wrinkles around my eyes! Anyway, this is the one picture of me from our vacation to Huntington Beach. Unfortunately, we've been back for about a month, and I now need another vacation!

Oh, and yep - I "third" what Superbob and Bridgett said above along with loads of other members who won't post because they don't want to get into the nit-picky arguments that seem to be the norm for some these days.

And for those of you wondering what my real personality is -- it's exactly as what you see on this website. I tell it like it is without innuendos or ambiguity or taking sides without having bonified information. I don't PM anyone or write e-mails when a controversy arises trying to sway folks to my point of view -- hell, I'm too danged old for that BS. Hang around Lisa..

People are people. Opinions abound... matter of fact everyone has one. Some of us just express them in passionate ways that don't always take into account the feelings of others....

Your insight, opinions, and thoughts are valuable to this community. I personally found your postings insightful and valuable to me.

Don't give up on the group in the face of disagreeable opinions stated by one, two or a few other members. Families and friends will have divergent opinions and sometimes we are less considerate of those we are most comfortable with...

BTW, I did like the new avatar...

Thanks guys. I made the threat public just so you would know what happened to my avatar. I really didn't expect people to PM me or post here, but I do appreciate it.

You're right Janie. What you see is what you get. Nobody ever wonders what I think, at least if it's important. I generally stay out of the arguments, but if it's important or I think somebody might get hurt, I will definitely chime in. I've been wrong before, but I'm usually right. When I'm wrong I admit it. This time I wasn't wrong.

I'm still mad, and I'm still waiting for an apology from a particular person. He knows who he is.
