Friday night my Step Brother was hiking with the Scouts and had chest pains. When they reached the top of the trail he put up his tent and tried to sleep. The pains worsened and they called 911. Thankfully there was a Policeman that new right where they were and directed the paramedics to him. He was taken to the hospital.

An EKG was done and it didn't show much so the said it as a mild attach. The pains continued thou the night so he was sent for a Heart Cath. It was determined that he had a "Widowmaker" attach which is usually fatal. He had a complete blockage and they insterted a stent. His arteries are large because he was very athletic during his youth, which allow enough blood to run thou.

If all goes well, he will come home tomorrow. He was one lucky man!! His cholesterol has been rather high but he was never put on an cholesterol meds. The plack from the cholesterol nearly killed him.

Wow!! Jackie, Sounds like he had guardian angels with him. So glad he got taken care of. He will be in my prayers for a smooth recovery. Keep us posted on how he is doing. God Bless.

These things are so shocking and sudden....very scary.
I heard of another person having a heart attack last Thursday while mowing the lawn.
Jackie, I hope he recovers well and stays safe.

Someone must have been looking after him - he's a lucky guy.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

How scarey for him and the boys. Thank God they called 911 an dwerte able to figure out in time what was going on and were able to help him.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and best wishes for Rick. I just had an update and Rick is going home today. The Doctor said this was a fluke, a strange happening, but all looks good now. He has been put on anti-coagulants for now, but everything seams to be working fine.

Just read your post Jackie,Wow this is scarey and so glad
God is watching over him...Adding my prayers for your stepbrother.
