Good Evening,
Just want to ask if anybody here had urinary track infection and taking antibotics called macrobid.
My mother is sick she has a flu and UTI. So her doctor gave her a macrobid 100mg twice a day. Also she told her that she need to take a tylenol every 4hrs. for her flu.
And tonight I test her glocuose level 2hrs after she had her dinner it was 209. I'm worried because that is very high. I know she just had dinner. I will test her again tomorrow before she eat her breakfast.
Also her doctor lower the dose of her coumadin. She will be taking 2.5mg starting today until tues. She will get her protime test tuesday.
She told me that she is feeling a little bit better.
Hope someboday can tell me who had the same situation and how they handle the problem. And is it ok to give her a glass of cranberry juice? Is cranberry interract her coumadin? or is not good for her because she is diabetic?
Need some answer.
