this was in my radio e-news this morning:
Tax Collector
****** County Tax Collector Ms ****** ******* says coronary heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women over age 25. Cardiovascular disease, including stroke, claims nearly twice as many lives as all forms of cancer. The Tax Collector and her staff have joined the fight against heart disease, by participating in the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day.
On February 14 (Valentine's Day), the tax collector employees will wear red to promote heart disease awareness, research and prevention by raising funds to support the American Heart Association.
Employees have made donations to the American Heart Association and encourage you to join them by wearing Red for Women and by visiting their offices anytime during the month of February to make a donation for this vital effort.
In addition, you may support heart research in Florida by purchasing the Stop Heart Disease specialty license plate.
For more information about Go Red for Women Day, and the Stop Heart Disease License Plate you may call the tax collector's office at *******, or visit our website at www.******taxcollector.com
She also gives 5 simple ways to love your heart:
1. Celebrate with an yearly checkup
2. Get up and move. Walk or jog for at least 30 minutes a day.
3. Quit smoking.
4. Drop a pound or two by cutting just 200-300 calories a day.
5. Become a salt detective. Aim for a total daily intake of no more than a teaspoon per day.
Name or tax collector and county have been starred by me.
